Janet Williams Recognized for Excellence in Geographic Information Systems and Project Coordination
Ms. Williams works with DuPage County to create educational programs and environmental projects throughout the region
WHEATON, IL, April 19, 2016 Janet Williams has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in geographic information systems and project coordination.
An environmental research technician with the public works department of DuPage County, Ms. Williams is a leader in geographic information systems and project coordination. By combining her passion for education with her desire to enrich the lives of others through environmental programs, she has achieved notable successes, including the acquisition of Churchill Park. On its land, Ms. Williams is working to erect an educational building for hands-on, extracurricular outdoor activities for youth group education. In recognition of her excellence, she was most recently the recipient of Worldwide Branding's Humanitarian Award.
Inspired by her young daughters, Ms. Williams is actively involved with a number of Girls Scouts initiatives. "We are creating programs that facilitate positive social enrichment and valuable life lessons," she says, citing the overlap of her work with that of the Girl Scouts of America. As she works with the organization to develop programs, Ms. Williams also is developing ways to utilize Churchill Park to bring about positive programs for young girls.
Looking ahead, Ms. Williams intends to continue in her work with DuPage County and the Girl Scouts of America.
